Multi-disciplinary equity, lending and advisory services group, BREAL, has appointed Alistair Macleod to BREAL Capital with a wide-ranging role to support its portfolio businesses and examine new high growth opportunities.
A seasoned senior business executive, Alistair enjoyed an extensive career in international corporate finance, private equity and senior management. Alistair spent 20 years in Hong Kong with HSBC, Emirates Bank and latterly Asia Capital Management, where he was CEO of one of the major portfolio companies.
Alistair’s speciality areas of expertise include operational change management, Mergers & Acquisitions/post deal integration and strategic business planning. In addition, Alistair will be bringing his career-long expertise in investment banking to bare for the benefit of portfolio companies, particularly project/trade financing, commercial lending and debt refinancing/restructuring.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Alistair was Chairman of the Hong Kong Football Club for 12 years.
